From our accessible room in the lower ground floor through to the cosy rooms in the eaves of the house, there are shapes and sizes to suit all. Of our fourteen rooms, twelve have direct sea views, so the only question for you to answer is from what vantage point would you like to survey the glory of the beach and the harbour beneath you.
Please be aware we have no lift which goes up through the building, however, we have a beautiful, 18th century Georgian staircase which is a glorious thing to behold. Please don’t let the walk to your room put you off, we’re always happy to help with your bags and the view when you reach your bedroom, will make the walk worthwhile.
Suite with Sea View and Balcony
This suite on the first floor puts you in an elevated position and offers you everything the best room in the Isle of Thanet should. Watch the sunrise in the morning whilst taking coffee on your east-facing balcony, and move to the harbour facing side of the balcony to catch the last of the sun partaking in the evening’s first glass of wine.
King Room with Sea View
We describe these rooms as ‘cosy’ because they are slightly smaller than rooms on the first and second floor. Lighting, furniture and interior décor have been carefully considered when looking at how to maximise this space. As you would expect, the views are very special from the top of Albion House with many describing these rooms as the prettiest and most romantic.
Super-King Accessible Room
This is our fully accessible room. Reached by taking the lift from the ground floor you get to experience much of the building’s original features on the way to your spacious, comfortable room with an external lower-ground floor terrace. The terrace room is a luxurious space with excellent wheelchair access and bathroom facilities.
Queen Room with Sea View
Being slightly smaller than some of our more spacious rooms, we have arranged the room’s furniture and layout slightly more creatively. Lighting, furniture and interior décor have been considered when considering how to maximise this space. Walk over to the window, slide open the sash window, gaze out to sea and feel the coastal breeze on your face. This room is on the second floor and has wonderful direct sea views. It also has a queen size bed and large walk in shower.
Super-King with Sea View & Balcony
Little Victoria's Room
This room, also known as the Little Victoria Room where Princess Victoria recuperated in 1835, has very high ceilings with elegant, Georgian doors leading out on to the Regency balcony. A super-king sized bed, harbour views and the last of the setting sun means this bedroom has a great deal to offer.
Super-King Room with Sea View
This describes three of our fourteen rooms that you will find on the second floor. Sensitively refurbished, the spacious rooms have double-glazed sash windows, are fully carpeted and elegantly and simply decorated. With stunning sea views, these rooms perfectly capture the luxurious feel of Albion House.
Super-King Room
This room has a magnificent window with original 18th century shutters. With no sea view we have aimed to make this room spacious and exquisitely furnished. Positioned on the first floor, the first thing that will greet you in the morning as you open the shutters is the blue sky. This room can be made to connect to Little Victoria’s Room should you be coming with friends or family.
Queen Room
